Here at Answers in Genesis, we’ve clearly seen the secular media’s bias against us and our attractions, Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Reporters will often print blatant misinformation—even though we’ve provided the truth multiple times on our site—with seemingly no other motive but to malign us. And it isn’t just AiG that secular organizations are against.
Live Action, a pro-life group, recently reported that Twitter has “refused to allow Live Action to buy advertisements on the grounds that Live Action tweets violate Twitter’s hate and sensitivity content policy.” Live Action claims that Twitter is forcing them to
first delete all tweets calling for the end of taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, all tweets of undercover investigations into Planned Parenthood, and any ultrasound images of preborn children. Live Action must also delete, or at least replace, the Live Action website, in order to be considered for advertising on Twitter.
Planned Parenthood’s tweets, on the very same topics, however, are allowed to remain. It appears that Twitter is biased against Live Action and wants to censor the pro-life message and help keep Planned Parenthood funded, thus sending a message that the murder of millions of children is a norm in our society.
This does not surprise us. Time and time again, we’ve seen the media misrepresent, malign, and deride AiG, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter simply because it goes against their secular beliefs. For example, how often have you heard the false reporting that our Ark was built using taxpayer funds when it was actually funded by our supporters? They hate the Christian message. As the Gospel of John says,
As Christians, no matter what the secular world does, we need to stand up for life—especially for those who have no voice.
Think about it: Twitter allows all sorts of blasphemous and pornographic tweets, as well as tweets that mock Christians and mock God—yet that’s all considered freedom of speech. But Christians are not allowed to place pro-life advertisements! Yes, the intolerance of secularists is becoming even more intolerant of Christianity every day.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
